DAY 1: ARRIVE KATHMANDU

Meeting and assistance on arrival & transfer to hotel.

Afternoon city tour visiting the Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient royal residential quarter, Mahadev and Parvati Temple, Machhender Bahl-holy place for the Buddhists and Hindus, Temple House of Kumari, the vestal virgin or the living goddess. Walk around the local bazaars. Also visit Swayambunath, a 2500-year old site where, it is believed, the Radiant Lotus of the valley-mythology, settled when the water was drained by Manjushri, the god of Wisdom. The 5 dhyani Buddha's attended by their consorts are enshrined at the base of the stupa. (Non-Hindus are not allowed inside Swayambhunath temple).

DAY 2: IN KATHMANDU

Morning visit Patan. In Patan visit the old Newar City, the historic Durbar Square, the Golden Gate, the sky piercing temple of Teleju and the statue of Yogendra Malla, other temples, old carved windows and balconies of wood, curio shops and bazaars.

Afternoon excursion to Bhadgaon, Bodhnath and Pashupatinath. Bhadgaon - another Newar city founded in the 9th century. Visit the ancient Gateway, Durbar Square the Royal Residential quarter of Bhupatindra Malla, the famous five-storeyed temple of Nyatapola in pagoda style and other temples. Later, visit Bodhnath, the 2500-year old Buddhist Stupa, - a holy place for Buddhist pilgrims from Tibet. Also visit Pashupatinath temple where Shiva is worshipped in the form of lingam. (Only Hindus are allowed inside). In the month of February an annual pilgrimage on the occasion of Shivaratri is organized here every year.

DAY 3: KATHMANDU-POKHARA

Morning depart by surface for Pokhara and on arrival check in at hotel.
Pokhara is a remarkable place of natural beauty. Situated at an altitude of 827m from the sea level and 200km west of Kathmandu valley, the city is known as a center of adventure. The enchanting city with a population of around 95,000 has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. The serenity of lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambience of peace and magic. So today the city has not only become the starting point for most popular trekking and rafting destinations but also a place to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature

DAY 4: IN POKHARA

Morning sightseeing of Devis fall and lake Phewa.Locally known as the Patale Chhango (Hell's Fall). Devi's fall is a lovely waterfall lying about 2 km southwest of the Pokhara airport. Phewa Lake, the second largest lake in the Kingdom, is the center of all attraction in Pokhara.Here, one can sail or row a hired boat across across to the water or visit the island temple in its middle.

DAY 5: POKHARA-JOMSOM

Morning transfer to the airport to board flight for Jomsom and on arrival transfer to hotel.Jomsom Mountain Resort.. This 'green' resort is situated on a plateau of 2700 m, surrounded by the snow-capped towering mountains, the world's deepest gorge and the roaring Kali Gandaki river. Just 20 minutes walk uphill from the airport or 10 minutes by pony ride. The most breathtaking sight of all is right in front of the resort. Every room offers unparalleled view of the majestic Nilgiri mountain. Jomsom Mountain Resort is a 102-room Resort with 5-star facilities and located on a superb plateau at Jomsom. Jomsom at an altitude of 2800m, it more correctly is known as Dzongsam or New Fort. It spreads over both the banks of the Kali Gandaki. The towering peaks of Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri form an attractive backdrop. The views from Jomsom are enchanting as the Nilgiri (7,061 m) and Dhaulagiri (8,167m) ranges reflect the golden rays of the rising and setting sun. The entire panorama is filled with a golden, glittering light, which forms a dramatic contrast.

DAY 6: IN JOMSOM
Jomsom area is not only the most popular trekking destination in Nepal but also the gateway to Upper Mustang - "Kingdom" within the Hindu Kingdom of Nepal. Jomsom is also the gateway to The Muktinath shrine that holds great religious significance to both Buddhists and Hindus. The altitude in this area varies from 2012m near Ghasa to 8091 m (Mt. Annapurna) - vertical height difference of 6079 m over a distance of only 14 Km. Though this is a remote area, private initiative in the form of many domestic airlines operate frequent flights to the area. Leave the concrete jungle behind with the hope that you will experience nature in its most primitive form

DAY 7: JOMSOM-KATHMANDU

Morning transfer to the airport to board flight for Kathmandu and on arrival transfer to hotel.

Rest of the day free for independent activities.

DAY 8: DEPART KATHMANDU
